Tommy Oliver Stadium will play host this year to the 2014 Max Emfinger All American Bowl Game. This will be the 10th annual Max Emfinger Bowl Game.
The game will feature some of the best high school football players in the country and gives them a chance to showcase their talents along side other top players.
This year players will come from states as far away as Texas, Arkansas and Illinois as well as several of the top players from right here in the panhandle.
Some of the past participants in this game include names like Trent Williams, who is now with the Redskins, Andy Dalton, Quarterback for the Bengal's and Houston Texan Cornerback Kareem Jackson just to name a few.
Bay High Head Coach Jimmy Longerbeam, who has been involved with this game for the last five years, said this game will give folks in this area a chance to see some of the top talent in the country.
Longerbeam said, "i tell you what kids are coming from all over the country i think there are 21 states represented 13 or 14 kids have already committed to division one to texas to oregon and those places you get a chance to see really really good football players and get a chance to see some of our local kids as well the biggest thing is it will be really fun to watch these kids and the biggest thing for me is where they end up four or five years from now i mean my first game i coached three or four of those guys running around in the nfl now."
The game will take place Friday January 3rd and be held at Tommy Oliver Stadium on the campus of Bay High.
