A Mosley High School teacher was surprised with an early Christmas gift Thursday morning.
The Bay Chapter of The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association presented Lorene Lindsay with a thousand dollar grant.
Lindsay is building an environmental engineering program to help students be college and career ready. She said she'll use the funds to buy additional resources for the program.
"It was absolutely marvelous to see them come in [to my class] and to get this support for the program. It was just marvelous. It was a great Christmas gift," said Lindsay.
"It makes you feel pretty good, you know, she was very excited, and to see the kids actually respond to that, it was pretty good, as well," said Lt. Col. Marcus Badley, the Bay Chapter's President.
