The City of Panama City Beach has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for Bay Shore Drive, effective until further notice.
According to the city, a water main break on Sunday caused a temporary loss in pressure. As a precaution, affected utility customers should boil all water used for drinking or cooking. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient, the city said.
The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey determines the water is safe to drink.
