PCPD Searching for Person of Interest in Christmas Day Shooting

Panama City Police found Wilbert Faison, also known as 'Cadillac Will', 56, shot early Christmas morning in the front yard of a home off East 13th Street.

"Police officers responded to the 500 Block of East 13th street to a report of a gentlemen laying with a gunshot wound," said Sergeant Mike Brewer with the Panama City Police Department.

Faison was transported the hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

Thursday, orange paint still visible from PCPD's investigation, which is making progress.

They have identified Stephen Trusty, 32, of Panama City as a person of interest. Sgt. Brewers asks if anyone has any information on his whereabouts to please call the department.

"We know people in the community talk, and we know people are talking about the incident," said Sgt.  Brewer. "If anyone has anyone has any info about the whereabouts of Mr. Trusty, or even Mr. Trusty himself, please give us a call."

Neighbors wouldn't go on camera, but many recalled the gunshots. Some were surprised to hear of the violence, some were not. However, all agreed the shooting was too close for comfort.

The Panama City Police Department continues to investigate a shooting that occurred on December 25, 2013, in the 500 block of East 13th Street that resulted in the death of, Wilbert Angelo Faison, 56 years of age; also known as Cadillac Will, a Panama City resident.

Through the course of the investigation we have developed a person of interest who has information about this incident. We are asking for help from the public for information leading the whereabouts of Stephen Trusty, a 32 year old, black male.
