Suspect Sought In Marianna Home Invasion Robbery

Marianna Police are searching for the man responsible for a Friday night home invasion robbery.

Officers responded to the scene on Cedar Street just before 9:30 p.m.  The victim, whose identity was not released, described the robber as a black male who is approximately 6' 3" tall and weighs 200 pounds.  He was wearing a black ski mask and dark colored shirt and was armed with a long rifle at the time of the robbery, police said.

An extensive search was conducted of the immediate area by the Marianna Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff Department, and K-9 Units from the Appalachee Correctional Institution and Jackson Correctional Institution; however, officers were unable to locate the suspect.
