Suspects Caught on Camera After Allegedly Taking Cash from Wallet

Posted: Updated:

The Bay County Sheriff's Office has released photos of suspects involved in the theft of cash from a lost wallet and is asking for the help of the public to identify the man and woman pictured.

On December 12 a woman dropped her wallet while in a nightclub on Panama City Beach. She left the establishment without realizing she had dropped it.

An employee at the business watched a woman pick up a wallet from the floor and take cash out of it. He asked the woman if it was her wallet and she replied that it was. The woman left the business accompanied by a man. Both were wearing camo jackets.

A short time later the victim realized she was missing her wallet and returned to the business to search for it. The employee remembered a woman picking up a wallet that matched the description of the victim's wallet and taking cash from it. Images of the suspects were obtained from the security video system at the business.

Anyone with information on these suspects is asked to contact Inv. Robbie Claytor at the Bay County Sheriff's Office at 747-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 785-TIPS.
