Two Charged, One Sought in Jackson County Store Burglaries

On Wednesday January 15, 2014 the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to Bryan's Store in Bascom and Kelley's Grocery in Dellwood in reference to burglaries. Subjects had broken the window and entered the stores. Upon entrance, the subjects had taken an undisclosed amount of cigarettes, cigars, beer, and other items. 

During the investigation Logan Scott Halstead age 19, Joseph Alexander Redmon age 18, and a juvenile was identified as suspects. Redmon and Halstead were located on Satin Lane in Bascom. During an interview both subjects did make self incriminating statements. Some of the items were recovered.

Redmon and Halstead were arrested and charged with two counts of burglary of a structure and two counts of grand theft. Redmon and Halstead were transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance. The juvenile was not located and a warrant for his arrest will be issued.
