Woman Charged with Making Up Waffle House Abduction Story
The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Panama City resident, Cassandra Henderson, 18 years of age. Henderson was charged with making a False Report of Commission of Crimes.
The arrest stems from the investigation into her alleged abduction in the early morning hours on January 20, 2014, from the Waffle House at 1901 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
The investigation revealed that Henderson fabricated the report of being abducted. Henderson admitted to detectives that she made up the story for attention.
