Walton County Opening Two Cold-Weather Shelters

UPDATE: The cold-weather shelters will be open again Thursday night beginning at 6 p.m.

Due to the impending inclement weather, Walton County is opening two cold weather shelters to accommodate those in need of respite from the predicted cold weather:

DeFuniak Springs Community Center

At this time, the duration of operation is undetermined, but the shelters are expected to remain open for the length of the freeze advisory.
