South Walton designer Stephanie Carter debuted a new fashion line in Dallas, Texas this morning to rave reviews. A&E's Duck Dynasty star, Missy Robertson, is a fan of Carters and now the two are collaborating to create a southern fashion dynasty all their own.
For years Carter says her fans have been asking for designs that are as appealing as her younger collections but modest enough for all ages. Now that Missy Robertson is on board, fans are getting what they asked for.
Robertson was spotted on the show wearing one of Carters pieces. In August the designer reached out to the star and within a week the two were editing a 55 piece collection named "Missy Robertson." Target buyers range from 30 to 50 years old but Carter says these pieces will attract all ages.
The hem lines are longer, most pieces have sleeves and each piece is designed for classic comfort. Carter's office is located in South Walton and while she says being located in New York or LA would be ideal, she couldn't imagine moving from her current home, "It inspires me, it inspires me in a different way. I don't get caught up on what everybody else is designing and doing. If I was in NY or LA I would just shop all the time, and my mind would go to what's out there already. But living here it's so nice just to be able to go out on the beach with my son and focus on what my mind is really creating."
The Missy Robertson collection debuted today at the Dallas, Texas market. Carter reported the booth had an impressive line for stores ready to carry the collection.
