Panama City Man Charged with Burglarizing Lynn Haven Businesses
Lynn Haven Police today announced the arrest overnight of Stephen Malcolm Owens-Lewis, 21 years of age of Panama City on felony charges of Burglary, Attempted Burglary and Possession of Controlled Substance in connection with the Attempted Burglary of Cher's Hallmark located at 2310 S. Hwy 77 and the Burglary of the Save-A-Lot Food Store located at 902 Ohio Avenue.
Police responded to both calls within hours of each other and apprehended Owens-Lewis still in the commission of his crime inside the Save-A-Lot at approximately 4:30am this morning. Both crimes were similar in nature and evidence found on Owens-Lewis' person connected him to the earlier Attempted Burglary at Cher's Hallmark.
After his arrest, Owens-Lewis was found to be in possession of a quantity of pills which were subsequently identified as the controlled substances Clonazepam and Adderall.
