District Boys Basketball Semi Finals Take The Floor Friday Night

On Friday night, boys district basketball tournaments hit the floor. In Class 5A, Rutherford defeated Gulf Breeze 64-34, punching their ticket to Saturday night's finals, where they will face Choctaw, who upset Bay High 47-44. Saturday's Championships game is at 7/CT at Bay High.

In Class 4A, Marianna defeated Walton 67-32, and they will face Pensacola Catholic for the District 1 crown, as the Crusaders beat West Florida Friday night. Tip off is at 7/CT at Marianna High School.

In Class 3A, the North Bay Haven Buccaneers beat Pensacola Christian 55-37. They will face Rocky Bayou at Rocky Bayou for the District 1 title Saturday at 7/CT.

In Class 1A, several district tournaments took the floor Friday night. In district 1, Paxton beat Laurel Hill 57-51, while Malone beat Central 73-44. Malone and Laurel Hill will play Saturday for the title at Central in Milton. Tip off is at 7/CT.

In district 2, the #5 and #6 seeds will face off for the Championship Saturday night, as Sneads beat Altha 49-42, and Cottondale upset Vernon 49-43. Tip off is at 7/CT at Graceville.

 In district 3, Chipley will face Northview for the title. The Chiefs defeated Baker 65-55, while the Chipley Tigers handled Jay 61-41. Tip off for that title game is at Chipley at 7:30/CT.

In district 4, Port St. Joe beat South Walton 69-58, while West Gadsden defeated Bozeman 61-47. Last year's Class 1A State Runner-Up West Gadsden will face Port St. Joe for the title Saturday at Liberty County at 6/CT.
