Panama City Beach, Fla. -

One person is in jail and another fatally injured after a traffic accident in Panama City Beach.

The accident happened on Thomas Drive Sunday night in front of the Signal Hill Golf Course.

Panama City Beach Police say a 2001 Ford Taurus sedan operated by 18-year-old Bruce George of Nolsensville, Tennessee was traveling eastbound but drove into the west bound lane.  That's when the car collided with a scooter operated by 22-year-old Brandon Beverly of Knoxville, Tennessee, ejecting him from his vehicle.

Beverly was taken to Bay Medical-Sacred Heart where he was pronounced dead.   George was charged with DUI manslaughter and taken to the Bay County Jail.

Authorities say additional charges are pending, as the accident is still under investigation.
