The final countdown to the re-opening of a historic amusement park in Panama City Beach.
Miracle Strip at Pier Park has moved its location from Pier Park North a few hundred yards east, and employees have been hard at work getting all the rides up and running. The new park will also offer food and souvenirs.
The park's layout protects the delicate wetlands nearby. The bridge spanning a small creek is so strong, that it can support the weight of a fire truck!
Owner Teddy Meeks attributes a lot of the park's renewed success to city support.
"Every body from the city to the commissioners actually the biggest cheerleaders for this project and they feel like it will be a community project as well", says Meeks.
The plan is to have a "soft" opening in two weeks and a Grand Opening on April 18th.
