Due to a sewer line blockage, approximately 2000 gallons of untreated sewage overflowed into a storm drain in the 2400 block of Charco Drive in Panama City. The storm drain empties into Robinson Bayou.
Sewage contamination of water can expose bathers to intestinal viruses, bacteria, and parasites.
The Florida Department of Health in Bay County advises against swimming in Robinson Bayou between Frankford Ave. and the entrance to West Bay until further notice.
