Volunteers for “Comcast Cares Day” Clean Up St. Andrews State Park

In St. Andrews State Park, a cleanup day was held to help tidy up one of America’s Best Beaches.

Comcast held its annual “Comcast Cares Day,” a nationwide event where all of the Comcast locations volunteer at different charities in their communities.

More than 100 volunteers came to this year’s cleanup and employee Kenneth Hall says the more people that come out, the more money they can give back to the State Park.

“It feels really good because last year we were a little disappointed because at the end of the day it’s about the charity and we’re trying to help out and trying to raise money and the more people get, the more money we can give, so this year doubling it and knowing we’re going to over double the amount of money we’re able to give out is amazing,” said Hall.

St. Andrews State Park will hold a similar cleanup day on September 20th for anyone who would like to volunteer.
