Another Northwest Florida favorite is also celebrating their sixteenth anniversary in Panama City Beach. The Gulf Coast Charity Horse Show is underway, bringing thousands out to watch the equestrian sport.

The sound of hooves can be heard at Frank Brown Park, as hundreds of horses and their riders were entered into the competition.

It is rare to see English riding garb or English styles of riding, but it's a sport that's been perfected over hundreds of years.

The walking horses compete for best in show and other awards for over four days, Saturday night was the finale.

Every possible age group participates and one local winner representing Panama City Beach came in second place in her age group.

The Gulf Coast Charity Horse Show is held the last full weekend in April every year and has raised more than $800,000 over their tenure to benefit local charity organizations in Northwest Florida.
