Bay County Buses Not Able to Travel Dirt Roads

Posted: Updated:
Based on official reports we have received on road conditions, it has been determined that buses will not be able to navigate many, if any, dirt roads. These are mostly in the northern parts of Bay County.

Buses will still run on regular routes, but drivers will not drive down dirt roads or any other roads that are under water.
Depending on the reports we receive later on road conditions, these impassable portions of bus routes could be down for the next several days until repaired or cleared of water.

Students who live in low lying areas or on dirt roads where flooding may prevent their attendance at school will have absences excused if a parent or guardian contacts the school.

As always, parents should use their own, best judgment when it comes to the care and safety of their children.

The above was released Thursday by Bay District Schools.
