Bay High Tornado Burris Signs To Play Volleyball In College

Friday at Bay high school one stand-out volleyball player put pen to paper as Sierra Burris inked to play at Millsaps College, a four year division three school in Jackson Mississippi.

Burris had over 500 kills, 160 blocks and served up over 150 aces in her career as a Lady Tornado.  She was named team MVP her junior year and shared that honor in her senior season.

Burris said she knew Millsaps was where she belonged after visiting the college, she said
"It's exciting. As an athlete growing up, it's something you always look up to is reaching the next level. I think in this area, a lot of students burn out before they get to the next level, or they don't think they can do it. It's doable. It's awesome."

Burris will graduate from Bay High with over a 4.5 GPA.
