The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the apprehension by BCSO Warrants deputies, of two men on multiple drug charges yesterday, May 5, 2014.
Warrants deputies had an active felony warrant for the arrest of Timothy Glenn Massey, age 39, and had developed information he was living in a residence on Kraft Avenue in Panama City. As deputies arrived at the residence, they observed Darryl Wade Daw, age 48, throw something into a car parked in front of the home, and then run with several others into the residence and quickly shut the door.
Deputies called for Timothy Glenn Massey to come out of the home. Four other individuals did leave the home, but Massey refused to surrender. Deputies called for backup and when additional deputies arrived, they entered the home to find Massey. Timothy Glen Massey was found hiding in the attic of the home. He refused to cooperate and had to be physically removed from the residence by arresting officers.
While searching the home for Massey, deputies observed various items related to the use of illegal narcotics in the home. Members of the Special Investigations Division (Narcotics) were called to the scene as well as a K9 handler and dog. The K9 dog alerted to the presence of narcotics within the car Darryl Wade Daw had been seen throwing something into before he entered the residence. A search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
A search warrant was obtained by the BCSO and the residence was searched. Additional amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana were found.
Timothy Glenn Massey, of 709 Kraft Avenue, was charged with the original warrant for Violation of Probation-Possession of methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance, as well as Resisting an Officer with out Violence, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Darryl Wade Daw, of 709 Kraft Avenue, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The investigation continues and additional charges and arrests are expected.
