UPDATE: The Panama City Beach Police Department has release the preliminary findings of the Medical Examiner's Office autopsy on two shooting victims found in a beach condo.
According to the police, Robert Marcinkus shot and killed his wife Susan, then took his own life. The crime scene was self-contained and a handgun recovered at the scene. Police say that there is no motive at this time and pending any further developments, the case is closed.
UPDATE: The Panama City Beach Police Department has identified the victims of a shooting at Tidewater Condominiums.
According to the Panama City Beach Police Department, the bodies of Robert and Susan Marcinkus of Kenosha, WI were discovered in their rented room by a member of housekeeping staff at approximately 10 a.m. on Friday morning. The couple was staying on the 24th floor of the condo, and were reportedly set to check out today.
At this time, it is unclear what events preceded their deaths, but a weapon was recovered at the scene. The scene was also considered to be self-contained and there are no other persons suspected to have been involved.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is continuing.
The Panama City Beach Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident at the Tidewater Beach Resort at 16819 Front Beach Road.
According to Beach Police Chief Drew Whitman, a maid doing housekeeping discovered two shooting victims inside a room at the condo.
