Normally when you have an appetite for pancakes you don't typically end up at a restaurant that serves barbeque, but that wasn't the case today as dozens of people went to a popular Panama City BBQ place to get their favorite breakfast treat. Pancake lovers gathered this morning as part of the “March for Babies” it was the “Breakfast for Babies”.
Each years March for Babies holds their breakfast fundraiser at different restaurants around the county, this year Smitty's Barbeque in Panama City stepped up and opened its door for the cause.
For just five dollars people sat down and enjoyed pancakes and bacon, but it wasn’t because the pancakes were that good it’s because this event raises money for medical research, to help ensure that all babies get a healthy start in life. This event is expected to raise nearly 1,500 dollars, and will be added to the total of what was raised April 26 in the Panama City March for Babies event
