Springfield Man Charged in School Burglaries

The Panama City Police Department announces the arrest of Khalid Mohammed Danun, 20 years of age, of Springfield, Florida. Danun is charged with five (5) counts of dealing in stolen property.

The arrest stems from the investigation of multiple burglaries at Margaret K. Lewis School and Oscar Patterson Elementary School. Panama City Police Department detectives along with Springfield Police Department investigators learned that two of the juveniles involved with these burglaries, sold property stolen from the schools to Danun.

At the time, Danun was employed at the Furniture Outlet located at 3409 Business Highway 98 in Springfield. Danun purchased and then resold the property through the business. Danun was questioned by detectives and then was transported to the Bay County Jail. Danun made a first appearance before a local judge on May 16, 2014.
