Sacred Heart to Open Rehab Services in Apalachicola

Posted: Updated:
Sacred Heart Health System is pleased to announce the opening of a new outpatient rehabilitation center located in the Riverwalk Building at 76 Market Street, Suite D, in Apalachicola. Featuring outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy, the new center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning June 4. The community is invited to attend a grand-opening celebration and open house on Thursday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 3 to 6 p.m.

“The addition of outpatient rehabilitation services in Apalachicola builds on our commitment to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare for the residents and visitors of Gulf and Franklin counties,” said Roger Hall, president of Sacred Heart Hospital on the Gulf. “The community’s support of Sacred Heart makes the continued expansion of services possible.”

The clinic will be staffed initially with two excellent physical therapists, both with more than 38 years of experience in physical therapy. Joe Santiesteban, PT, PhD, lives in Apalachicola and has been the outpatient rehabilitation manager at Sacred Heart since January 2011. Anne Kenny, PT, has extensive experience in multiple settings as a physical therapist.

“Anne and I are trained to diagnose, treat and consult on many different therapy issues,” says Santiesteban. “We are dedicated to providing a high quality, healing environment with personalized treatment plans for optimal results.”
