Drug Arrested Made After Traffic Stop

The Bay County Sheriff’s office arrested a man Friday illegal narcotics were found in his vehicle.

A narcotics investigator conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Arthur Avenue, Panama City, and learned the driver, Elvis Mark Hartrick, had a suspended driver’s license. The investigator called for a BCSO K9 handler and dog. The dog alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics and a search of the vehicle was performed.

During the search approximately two ounces of methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills, US currency, and a Taser was found. Hartrick, age 39, a transient, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of an Electric Weapon by a convicted felon.
