Shabby chic and antique lovers with a passion for coastal living were feeling “beachy keen” on Saturday.
The inaugural Bay Coastal Living Fair made its appearance at the Bay County Fairgrounds and the community had the opportunity to find unique items under one roof.
Businesses that repurpose and restyle vintage merchandise set up booths to give people a special taste of the sea that they cannot find anywhere else.
Wanda Hicks came up with the idea from a similar fair in Atlanta and she wanted to bring one to the coast.
“We thought we’d do something for our area and we had such a good response,” said Hicks. “We had everybody that we mentioned it to ready to be on board and all day today (Saturday) we’ve had people signing up for the next event.”
It was a free event, but all donations were given to Anchorage Children’s Home. The fair will also be held Sunday, June 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
