Drug Investigation Lands Two Behind Bars Charged with Child Neglect

A drug investigation by Panama City Beach Police leads to the arrest of two people accused of selling narcotics while in the presence of a child.

26-year-old Gregory Scarver of Panama City and 22-year-old Schalene Brady of Chipley were arrested after police observed them selling a felony amount of marijuana in the Walmart parking lot on Front Beach Road.  

Following their arrest it was discovered Scarver and Brady had their three month old son in their vehicle at the time. Investigators also found additional drugs and medication in the vehicle where the child was located. The department of children and families were notified of the incident and the infant child was turned over to a family member.  

Scarves and Brady were charged and transported to the Bay County Jail where they await first appearance.
