Man Arrested for Soliciting Drugs to Uniformed Officers

Posted: Updated:
A man is arrested on Wednesday for soliciting drugs to police officers in the presence of his 2-month-old, Panama City Beach Police said.

Authorities say they arrested 28-year-old Terandell Curlee Coleman, of Ebro, Fla., after he approached an unmarked police vehicle in the area of Pier Park and asked two uniformed officers to purchase cannabis from him for $25. When officers agreed to the purchase price, they say he left infant son unattended in a stroller about 15 to 20 feet away, while he leaned in to present the cannabis to authorities.

He was subsequently placed under arrest for possession of cannabis with intent to distribute and child neglect, and taken to the Bay County Jail.

The Department of Children and Families was notified and the child was turned over to his mother.
